Nice to see a flash game with such humor and character. The vulgar humor set on he backdrop of a childlike game visually probably enhanced the experience for me. Hope this gets a sequel soon!
Thanks a lot!
This game went places. I actually expected it to go even further than it did. The message of the game was pretty obvious so I wont comment on that but I do want to say that the game maybe should have gotten a little more f**ked up. Maybe a couple more days would have have the descent more scary. Its just a thought though. Maybe the game could have have gotten a little ridiculous and chaotic to show how little our actions can mean so little in the end.
Anyway those are just a few random thoughts. The graphics are presentable and the shift in tone was nicely expressed by this game. Music was great. In a whole, nice game with a decently presented message.
Great game. The narrative was engaging and one has to appreciate a game which only requires words to relay its story. The puzzles were logical if one puts enough thought into it, no walkthrough required for, however I did use an online anagram convertor which I'm pretty sure you didn't indent lol :P.
However I would never have guessed how to get the secret ending and appreciate you basically telling us in the description for us dumb kids. Hopefully the sequel comes out soon.
One complain I do have is that while Noel is quite the awesome psycho I don't like the Satan motif he has. It makes him more generic in a way.
That being said I enjoyed the game and loved the music. Hopefully there will be a sequel soon. :D
I like to consider myself a writer too, at least as a hobby. I should write stories much more often than I have been recently though! For some reason, writing in English is the most fun to me, even if it is my third language.
And don't worry! Using an online anagram solver is totally permitted, and is actually encouraged to be used as a short cut if needed. You see, most of the puzzle is actually figuring out what the puzzle even is in the first place, in this game.
Yeah. If anything, I am dumb for making the secret ending so impossible to figure out. I didn't intend for it to even be found easily at all, but so many people where interested in it that I didn't have the heart to deny them access. I appreciate the amount of interest people have shown in the story.
Well, I don't know if you noticed, but Noel is quite mocking and has a tone of sarcasm in his writings. As his creator, I can reveal that he isn't really serious about the demonic thing. If anything, it's part of his mockery of the people around him. After all, he asked what other people call him, and not what he calls himself.
I'm sorry to say that I simply don't have time to wrok on a sequel yet, but maybe I will have time to make one sometime next year. I certainly hope so!
Thanks a lot for your review and your thoughts!
As an Indian I found this game racist. I LOVE IT!
Generic. As the level goes on it seems that it gets easier as you can just smash your button in one place and bugs will be smashed. Also the lack of a high-score system and internet ranking makes this once play experience...maybe even a never play for the easily bored.
I like the idea alot. Execution could be handled a little better. The fact that it behaves like a plane and not a helicopter actually surprised me. However the fact that there are no "chose able" levels and that is gets a mild repetitive makes it loses stars. Also why didn't you make the bomb drop and a mouse press and not automatic. (If you argue that it is make the game more challenging then you could have instead made the levels more of the challenge not the controls.) :/
Firstly the music is amazing and really suits the tone. I wouldnt mind it being downloadable in Newgrounds if you consider it :). That being said the game is pretty fun and cute. Simple idea executed nicely. It would be better if the control didnt seem so floaty but I guess a space game would have floaty controls. My last complain is that there are no check points between levels and I think that is a detriment to the experience. Other than that great game!
I don't get it. Maybe I'm dumb or something but this game just went over my head. I'm a fairly deep person in my opinion but the message was not clear at all. Being Adam (I guess?) God tells me I can live in paradise forever if I don't eat the fruit of knowledge. (Pretty uninteresting paradise if you ask me) Then I just pac man around the level eventually getting a pink clone (Eve?) Then green clones (Kids?) appear and make it harder to find food. I eat a thing and and then black clones eat my green clones. Then I eat them. Then I become black. Then I eat more. God get pissed but then forgives me.
That is my interpretation but I still seem like there is more. The game lacks feedback which which makes this seem like a chore more than an experience. If you are trying to convey it as an art game, I get it, but art games should have a message which makes sense. What was the message here? Don't get to greedy? God is all forgiving? Black is bad? The graphics is basically the ball in Pong with colour. The music is ok so 1 star for that. The game tried some thing which it failed to achieved but it still tried so..1 more star? I could go on and on with this review but I think this is an ok point to leave it. :/
First of all, since this is a flappy bird clone I can understand why the game is not interesting to me. (However games like velocity wings did grab my intrest even while being a flappy clone.) No engaging music, lack of gameplay, no score board. Im not sure what was the reason for making this game but it could have been better.
Doesnt work for me. i can just read the tile screen and thats it.
